Day 4: IF YOU FAIL TO PLAN…
So here’s my heartfelt apology for missing yesterday’s reflection. Thank you for your forgiveness for yesterday and thank you in advance for the days I shall skip going forward!!! 😜😜😜
I dropped the ball, and upon REFLECTION, I recognize the reason—planning, planning, planning.
I love travelling. It’s always refreshing to break free from my usual routine and be in a completely different environment. I feel three times more inspired! Not to mention the countless songs that are birthed in flight; perhaps being a little closer to the heavens plays a part.
A few years ago, I traveled to a popular destination with my travel buddy. We were so thrilled about our trip that we planned everything except what we would do once we arrived! While we did spend some time at the beach, that was about it. We had no clue about the attractions in the area, our shared interests, or our actual budget. Our five days flew by with very little accomplished. Some areas were closed or too pricy 😜We did manage to relax, I suppose, but…. confusion is costly.
On our 2nd visit to this destination I decided to do things differently ✍️📝 Everything was planned to the tee, including rest time! I can assure you, we made the most of our vacation experience. We were shocked with how under utilised our first trip was. My travel buddy still wanted to be spontaneous but just after day one, he was now depending on my itinerary! “Saka taakuita sei?”, “Well.... takuita shopping!!”
Those who fail to plan often find themselves at the mercy of those who do. Making plans helps us avoid ripple effects should any detours arise.
It has taken me much time today to plan for these 40 reflections, (truth is I hadn’t!) but I’m relieved that at least I now have a launch pad, it should get easier.
As the old saying goes; If you fail to plan, plan to fail. We can wing is for so long.
I have learnt that planning may look like a waste of time but i promise you it gives you clarity and helps to be better prepared. Having a plan can turn chaos into productivity and peace, whether for a trip or daily life. It helps you prepare for challenges and enjoy meaningful moments.
Commit your works to the Lord and YOUR plans will be achieved; Proverbs 16:3
Here's to well-planned adventures and the joy of being prepared! Remember we are overcomers, let us plan to actually OVERCOME (Track of the day)
Thank you for following my reflections!
I plan to…..speak to you soon! 💕
